The Dancers’ Voice is a platform for dancers to share their unique yet often overlooked opinions, experiences, and perspectives on their individual careers while simultaneously highlighting systemic challenges facing the dance world at large. By offering a space where dancers can share, read, and critically engage with the field, The Dancers’ Voice also aims to elevate the position of dancers within the dance world and academia by recognizing and promoting their status as practicing dance experts. This dual pronged approach will be achieved by utilizing an online magazine format with op-eds, research, and connections to established dance journalism that spotlight historically overlooked issues confronting individual artists and the dance world today.
